该服务测试了相当久的时间，这次的推出也包含了一些更新，现在 Windows Live Messenger Web 移动版包括以下功能：

• 支持丰富表情
• 支持查看和管理最多5个活动对话
• 用户可以更改显示名称和状态等信息
• 无缝整合 Windows Live Contacts
• 搜索联系人，隐藏离线联系人等

该服务仍不支持完全的 Windows Live Messenger 移动客户端（Windows Live for Windows Mobile 或者 Windows Live for Nokia）的功能，但它提供了简洁，快速的即时通讯服务，并且支持大部分移动设备。
