Windows RT 平板将于 9 月获得 Windows 8.1 RT Update 3

微软早已宣布 Surface RT 将不会有 Windows 10 更新，不过会有“特别更新”给 Surface RT 平板。根据微软 Gabe Aul 的推特，微软将于 9 月给 Surface RT 平板推送 Windows 8.1 RT Update 3。

目前还不知道 Windows 8.1 RT Update 3 具体有哪些新功能，不过微软表示很快将分享更多，猜测不太会有重大功能，可能主要是内置应用的一些更新。微软之前已经宣告 Surface RT 失败，Surface RT、Surface 2 和 Lumai 2520 等用户应该已经有心理准备。

之前在 Windows Phone 时代，微软也曾推出过 Windows Phone 7.8 来安抚 WP7 用户。（via The Verge）
