微软推出 Virtual Earth, Live Search Maps，及 API 更新，在这篇中，我就来介绍一下最新的 Live Search Maps 的更新以及新功能。
Communities
提交的收藏 Collections 能够在第一时间被索引，并且，在商家搜索中整合了 Collections 的数据：
Local Search Vertical
搜索优化- 用户可以指定搜索筛选条件，如：Hotels, Restaurants 等。
相关搜索- 用户将能看到更多相关类别的结果，并在将来有更多相关搜索整合进来。
注：MSN Yellow Pages 和 Local Search Vertical 页面都有广告。
Details page
通过独立的页面显示了更全面的商家信息，以及 Scorecard（显示用户评价的面板），以及搜索：
Multi-Point Directions
多点驾驶导航，将会为用户创建一个多个地点的导航路线。当用户需要去多个地点的时候，该功能尤其实用，可以将所有地点的路线在地图中显示出来。
Landmark Hints
Landmark hints 将适用于北美的路线，并且支持以下类型的地标提示：
- Gas Stations
- Major National Chains of
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Convenience Stores
- Grocery Stores
- Car Dealerships
Geocoding
地点搜索（城市，州，国家，地标等）功能已经被加强，查询匹配率也有所提高：
Imagery Processing and Rendering, Vector Data
图像处理和呈现更新，及道路和邮政编码数据更新
Localized Tiles
支持其他语言地点搜索，包括：英语，法语，西班牙语，意大利语，和德语。
3DVIA
更多 Virtual Earth 3D 及 3DVIA 更新可以查看：New Version of Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D and 3DVia。
Weather
在 Virtual Earth 3D 中，可以看到实时天气状况（通过云来反应实际情况），每 3 个小时更新一次，并且更新时间会显示在右下角，支持 14 种云类型。
Virtual Earth Web Service, Virtual Earth Map Control 6.2
微软正式推出了新的 Virtual Earth Web Service SDK，以及新版 Virtual Earth Map Control 6.2。另外，Virtual Earth AJAX Control SDK 和 Virtual Earth Interactive SDK 也更新了。
New Mobile Support
用户可以开发 Virtual Earth 相关的移动应用，比如在 Windows Mobile, RIM BlackBerry，以及 Apple iPhone 平台上。Virtual Earth 图像针对移动平台做了一定的优化，并且支持更加灵活的功能开发。
