微软将在 6 月 1 日结束 Bing 411 免费电话搜索服务（1-800-BING-411 或 1-800-CALL-411）。如今你拨打 Bing 411 号码，你将会听到关于服务终止的通知。

Bing 411 是微软在 07 年推出电话服务，当时还是 Live Search 时代，你可以通过 Bing 411 获得本地商家、驾车路线、交通情况、比赛分数、股价、天气、附近最便宜加油站等信息。顺便提一句，Bing 411 后端技术是 Tellme，和 Windows Phone 中内置的语音搜索技术一样。

现在完全可以用 Bing Mobile 来替代 Bing 411。另外，Google 是在 2010 年 10 月结束的 GOOG-411 服务。感谢 Damaster 的提醒。

Bing Maps 五月图像更新，并推出 Bing Maps World Tour 等

本月，Bing Maps 共更新了超过 248,000 平方千米覆盖面积的图像数据，并且微软推出了托管于 Windows Azure 的 Bing Maps World Tour 应用。

Bing Maps World Tour 利用了 Bing Maps Silverlight 控件（目前处于 CTP 阶段）的渲染特性，以及伪 Ribbon UI 的工具栏。Bing Maps World Tour 应用每个月会推荐 Bing Maps 的最新图像更新内容。你可以观看幻灯片式的播放，或者自行在各地点、城市标注间切换。

Live Search 411 已改名为 Bing 411，电话为 1-800-Bing-411，语音搜索仍基于 Tellme 技术。同时，微软也正式宣布了 Bing Travel 垂直决策引擎。

另外，微软英国的 DiscoverBing 站点推荐了 Multimap 和 Ciao 两款 Bing 的本地化子服务。

今年微软共有 13 个产品获得 Webware 100 Awards 奖项的提名，现在 Webware 100 Awards 2009 结果已经揭晓，微软共有 10 款产品上榜。另外，今年共收到约 630,000 记投票。

Live Search 411 交通搜索更新，Virtual Earth 四月数据更新

微软 Live Search 与 INRIX 合作为 Live Search 411 提供实时交通状况数据。此前，微软已和 INRIX 合作为 Ford SYNC 提供了交通、导航服务。

Live Search 411 是微软基于 TellMe 语音技术的本地搜索服务，包括：商家、驾驶路线、体育、股市、天气、电影、油价、旅游，以及这次更新的交通搜索。Live Search 411 交通搜索支持保存指定路线和地点，还可以根据交通状况预计驾车时间。

用户只需拨打 1-800-CALL-411 或者 1-800-225-5411 即可通过语音询问交通状况。

Microsoft Virtual Earth 四月共更新了超过 9TB 的图像数据，这些图像数据覆盖了 100 万平方千米的地球表面。具体更新的国家/地区列表请移步至 Chris Pendleton 的博客，包括大量中国和印度地区。

微软官方新闻：微软推出了“今秋 Live Search 服务中的最后更新”（很多在 Searchification 会议上已经提到了）。从官方公告中总结了以下这些:

地图和方向指示:

根据实时交通状况重新指示路线
一次点击方向指示（不需要点击开始点）
根据当地建筑显示所在位置
结合鸟瞰图的 3D 图像
推出 3DVia（Dassault Systemes 授权），这是一套新的工具，允许用户创建和共享 Live Maps 上的 3D 建筑物模型
Live Search 索引更多用户创建的“收集 Collections”和 KML
Virtual Earth 6.0 中的更新包括
- multipoint trip routing
- enhanced geocoding combining results for multiple geocoders
- rooftop geocoding resulting in more precise geocoding results
- map control support for Safari 2.0
- and the release of MapCruncher Beta making it easier to publish maps overlaid in an application using the Virtual Earth map control

Windows Mobile 版本的 Live Search ，还包括语音输入。更新后的 Windows Mobile 5/6 Live Search 将会在星期二提供免费下载，而且还会支持语音输入（beta），油价查询等功能。该服务同样会在支持 GPS 的手机上提供GPS服务。
Live Search 411: 与微软今年早些时候收购的 Tellme 合作，推出了通过电话使用 Live Search的功能。只需拨打 1-800-CALL-411 ，并报出自己的城市和州，然后就可以获取自己需要的商务信息了，如果你在使用手机，地图的链接会发送到手机上。

BlackBerry 版本的 Live Search. 黑莓版本的 Live Search 现在处于 beta 阶段，在星期二也会提供给下载。这是一个全新的版本，专为独立硬件和黑莓系统 4.0.2 或以上版本设计。同样也会有 GPS 功能。

这些服务中大部分只在美国地区开放，中国地区的用户仍需要耐心。
