这将是惠普 Windows 8 商务平板–HP Slate 8？

Neowin 称他们从可靠消息源处获得了一些关于惠普 Windows 8 平板的信息，上图是一款商务平板的早期模拟图，名称为 HP Slate 8 – 明显为 HP Slate 2 平板的后继者。

该惠普 Windows 8 平板的配置为 x86 处理器架构、10.1 吋屏幕、8-10 小时电池续航，有触控笔和企业级扩展坞，操作系统是 Windows 8 Pro 版，并没有提到价格和上市时间，不过预计在 Windows 8 系统上市后不久。

惠普已在计划 Windows 8 平板并不是秘密，今年 2 月，惠普 CEO Meg Whitman 曾表示今年年底之前会有他们的第一款 x86 架构的 Windows 8 电脑。（via All About MS）

Brandon Watson：微软愿意向 webOS 开发者提供免费 WP7 手机

周五，微软 Windows Phone 7 开发者布道总监在 Twitter 上表示：

致所有已发布应用的 webOS 开发者：我们愿意给你们提供你们需要的在 Windows Phone 平台上再造辉煌，包括免费的手机、开发工具和培训等。

而这条消息也就是在惠普宣布它不再开发 webOS 设备（如 Pre 手机和 TouchPad 平板）之后一天发布的。此时 Windows Phone 已发布的第三方应用数已接近 2 万 9 千款，微软正在继续拢络开发者，现在这一招“免费送手机”已经是微软惯用的招数叻。（via AllthingsD）

去年的 9 月 29 日微软推出了 Microsoft Security Essentials 首个正式版，如今微软庆祝了该产品的 1 周年生日，并分享了这过去一年所取得的部分成绩：

Microsoft Security Essentials 现已有超过 74 不同国家的 3000 万用户
最初 Microsoft Security Essentials 只在 19 个国家发布了 8 种语言版本；目前有 74 个国家和 25 种语言
Microsoft Security Essentials 已通过业界领先的独立认证机构的认证：International Computer Security Association Labs (ICSA) 和 West Coast Labs。以及 VB100 Award 和 AV-Test 的认证

并且从今天起，惠普 HP ENVY 14 系列和 ENVY 14 Beats 版系列将预装 Microsoft Security Essentials；从 10 月起，微软将向小型企业提供免费 Microsoft Security Essentials。

惠普：我们还是会有 Windows 7 平板电脑

惠普个人系统集团副总裁 Todd Bradley 在昨天的《财富》头脑风暴技术大会上称，惠普 Slate 将是专注于企业的设备，并搭载微软 Windows 7。此前，PCWorld 发现了惠普官网上的 Slate 500 平板正是搭载 Windows 的。

而此暗示了惠普接下来两条产品线：专注于企业的 Windows 平板 Slate 系列、和面向消费者的 Palm 设备 PalmPad。

鲍尔默在今年的 CES 上演示了惠普 Slate 平板。但在 4 月，传出惠普终止了 Windows 7 的平板。有趣的是，鲍尔默没有在全球合作伙伴会议的主旨演讲上提及惠普，但惠普的确列于会议上播放的今年上市的 Windows 7 平板列表之中。

考虑到华硕 Eee Pad 将运行 Android 系统，而微软自家的平板 Courier 也已被终止，对于期待 Windows 平板电脑的用户来说，又可以开始攒钱了。

微软 Courier 平板与惠普 Windows 7 平板均已“死”

还是来源于 Gizmodo 的消息，他们周三被告知：微软执行官公告其内部研发 Courier 平板电脑的团队，该项目已不再被支持。事实上，微软都还未公开地宣布或承认过这款 Courier 平板产品。

微软企业沟通副总裁 Frank Shaw 也在微软官方博客中也开口宣布了 Courier 项目的终止：

在任何时候、任何部门，都有新的想法正在被研究、测试、孵化。继续研发新技术以加速生产力和创新已完全成为了微软的 DNA。“Courier” 项目就是一例，我们将在微软将来的产品中评估 Courier 的技术价值。

很遗憾，微软首次公开 Courier 却是以终止项目为内容。

而另外一则消息，由巴尔默在 CES 2010 上宣布的惠普平板也已被砍掉，TechCrunch 的消息源称：惠普并不满意将 Windows 7 作为平板电脑的操作系统，主要原因是耗电过于厉害。

试着猜想一下惠普是为何敢作出如此“得罪”微软的决定？恐怕就是几天前收购的 Palm 以及它的 WebOS 和 1500 多项的专利了吧。

不管怎样，今天的这两则消息表达了一个信息：微软再次败于平板。

微软 CEO 巴尔默在 CES 2010 主旨演讲上宣布了与惠普 HP 的一项新合作：在 42 个国家或市场的惠普新计算机上，预设 MSN 和 Bing 为默认首页和默认搜索引擎。

微软/Windows Live 将与惠普及中国电信的业务合作

这冲击波般的新闻潮随着微软前/昨天发布的一个 Windows Live Services 升级的新闻而来，大家都在关注着 Windows Live Wave 3 的相关一系列更新/升级的同时，让我们看看这新闻稿里面的其他一些内容：

除了新加入的 50 余家合作伙伴来丰富 What’s New Feed 服务的更新内容之外，HP 和中国电信无疑成为出现频率最高的两个合作企业。

In addition to partnering with leading Web companies, Microsoft announced alliances with HP and China Telecom Corporation Ltd. to deliver Windows Live services to more people across the globe.

微软在无线移动业务方面选择了 Verizon 在成像打印业务方面选择了 HP 作为合作伙伴，无疑是强强联手。虽然微软与惠普的合作要追溯回惠普电脑将在 09 年部署 Live Search 工具栏，而以 IPG 业务起家并壮大的 HP 此次跟微软的合作，双方又通过什么达到双赢呢？

HP, the worldwide leader in printing solutions, will distribute Windows Live Photo Gallery with its consumer printers, including Photosmart and Deskjet lines, starting next year. The combined offer provides HP customers with Windows Live Photo Gallery, an end-to-end photo management and printing solution.

“Beginning in 2009, HP will feature Windows Live Photo Gallery and HP Creative Print Projects across the HP Photosmart and HP Deskjet consumer printing portfolios,” said Sam Greenblatt, general manager of Core Technologies, Imaging and Printing Group, at HP. “We are pleased to be working with Microsoft to provide an enhanced user experience for our customers. This offering will allow users to print, share, organize and edit a wide array of creative print projects at home, such as photo books, collages, cards and calendars.”

个人认为，从明年开始惠普可能会把 Windows Live Photo Gallery 整合入其打印机产品随机带的软件包，可能取代或者加强了原来的 HP PhotoSmart Essential 或者 Image Zone Express 之类的照片编辑、管理软件，更加丰富用户的照片管理、扫描、打印等用户体验。而微软则也是通过此次业务合作，凭空轻松的拿下相当多的 Windows Live Photo Gallery 新用户。

而说到微软跟中国电信的合作，所谓被称为世界上最大的电信、宽带以及移动服务商的中国电信将提供一个世界级的综合信息服务。微软将和中国电信合作联合发布一个新版本的 Windows Live Messenger，而这个新版本的 Messenger 将默认提供给中国电信的互联网宽带用户以及移动设备用户。

China Telecom, one of the world’s largest telecommunications, broadband and mobile services providers, is committed to providing a world-class integrated information service. The company will be providing a co-branded version of the new Windows Live Messenger to its Internet services subscribers on PCs and through mobile devices in the near future.

占了世界 1/5 人口的中国市场貌似第一次被如此重视，单从预期用户数量来看，微软此次确实拿下了一个不错的 Deal。从 Verizon 到 China Telecom，看来在移动通信这块，微软似乎是瞄准了 CDMA 来的。而这个中国“后娘养”的新版 Windows Live Messenger 的命运将会如何呢？我们只能拭目以待了。
