根据 Mary Jo 了解到的信息，此次数据丢失是由硬件更新导致的，具体来说是因为 Oracle DB 和 Sun SAN 解决方案的固件更新问题，并且服务器无法备份数据。尽管 Danger 于 08 年 2 月被微软收购，但微软始终没有将 Danger 平台的服务器平台（Apache, Java 等）迁移至微软服务器产品和技术。

微软在事后也将此次故障的责任推向了“开源”和“非微软技术”，与微软 Azure 云计算平台无关。但不管怎么说，Danger 是微软的，微软是有责任的。目前，还有至少两起诉讼正等着微软和 T-Mobile。

另外，本周六微软将更新此次数据丢失事件的更多信息。

需要注意的是，本届 Mix 09 上推出了 Microsoft Web Platform Installer 2.0 Beta，去年，微软 Web Platform Installer 1.0 Beta 推出。

而 Mix09 上，微软还正式推出了 Web App Gallery，这是面向 Microsoft Web Platform 的应用，比如：Wordpress、ScrewTurn Wiki。除了 ASP.NET 的应用之外，Web App Gallery 也包括 PHP 的应用。

Web App Gallery 支持通过 Microsoft Web Platform Installer 安装应用，并会在安装之前，提示用户需要安装的服务器组件。除此之外，Web App Gallery 还支持开发者提交应用，更多信息（比如：如何打包）可以在此获得。

Windows Azure 数据中心的每台服务器都是配置为从网络启动的，并且连接至 Windows Azure 网络。当微软需要开启一台服务器运行 Windows Azure 应用，他们将从网络启动该服务器，并下载 Maintenance OS。

Maintenance OS 连接（运行）着一项服务叫作 Fabric Controller，或者称为 FC，它知道如何管理 Windows Azure 资源（服务器，网络基础架构，应用，客户应用）， 并且能指示 Maintenance OS 内部的代理创建一个 Host 分区来运行 Host OS。

Host VM 是一种特殊的 VM，它控制着访问基础服务器的访问权限，并且为其他 Guest VM（部署客户应用的地方）提供了一种与外界安全通讯的机制。

服务器启动后，将原生进入 Host VHD OS（这是 Windows 7 中的一个新功能）。

当 Host VM 启动后，它也会启动一个连接到 Fabric Controller 的代理，FC 将告诉它创建一个或多个 Guest 分区。如果是第一次创建，Guest VM 镜像会被自动下载，同时特定的 Guest 实例 Diff Disk 也会被下载（以确保 Base Guest VM 在特定数据写入的 Diff Disk 的时候，可以被重复使用）。

一旦 Guest VM 准备就绪，客户 Role 将被部署至 Guest VM，并且 FC 将配置所有基础架构（比如：加载平衡，外部和内部 IP 地址[DIP 和 VIP] ，转换器等）。每个 Guest VM 只托管一个客户的应用，以确保各客户之间的独立性、安全性和稳定性。

每个服务器，都部署了一个 Host VM 和多个 Guest VM。为了确保每个客户的 VM 资源不被其他客户滥用，每个客户的资源都是独立分配的。以下是目前 Windows Azure 服务器配置和资源分配：

• OS: 64 位 Windows Server 2008
• CPU: 1.5-1.7 GHz x64（等效）
• Memory: 1.7GB
• Network: 100Mbs
• Local Disk: 250GB
• Windows Azure Storage: 50GB

正如之前讲到的，只有 Host VM 才和外界连接，所有的 Guest VM 都是通过 VMBus 来和 Host VM 连接，以实现与外界的信息传输，注意：Guest VM 本身是不可以和外界网络通讯的。

尽管微软没有要求参与企业采用 Azure 云服务，Live Mesh/Mesh Framework 或者微软托管的服务（Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Communications Server Online），但微软鼓励他们使用这些云服务。

微软已经将其“免费策略”从高校学生，扩展至了初创企业，“Spark”系列会不会继续拓展呢？FUSS 开玩笑说：或许“正版增值计划”的中国地区策略改为“LongSpark”（为每位中国公民免费提供正版软件）更适合中国国情呢。

说到这次在“黑屏”，使我联想到了某些大网站的编辑，盗着文章，还更加理直气壮，以去链接、去水印的技术为荣。大家都不容易的，何必这么折腾原本已经很脆弱的网络呢？各位前辈们已经说了那么多了，我在这就不重复了。大家心里都清楚，是谁在破坏这个环境。

• 在非 Windows Server 的 Windows 电脑上安装 Windows Live Wave3 Beta 套件。
• 选择你需要的产品，等待其完成下载（Windows Live Installer 会提示，进度超过 50 % 也就可以了）。
• 访问“C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\” 文件夹。
• 右键属性 Properties–>安全 Security–>编辑 Edit，并且给予用户完全控制 Full Control 的权限。
  
• 点击高级 Advanced–>编辑 Edit，选中 Replace all existing inheritable permissions… ，点击确定。
• 访问“C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\.cache”文件夹。
• 将这些文件夹下的安装包移动至 Windows Server 电脑中，安装即可。

另外一些主要更新:

• SilverlightStreamingMediaPlayer 控件升级至 Silverlight 2.0 Beta 2

• IDLoginStatus 控件支持透明背景

但更主要的就是推出了 Virtual Earth ASP.NET 控件。这是一款为 Visual Studio 2008 设计的 .Net 3.5 控件，并且还需要脚本管理器 (ASP.NET AJAX) 。

该控件完全支持拖放功能，将地图从工具箱中拖入页面中，并可以设置属性。还支持完整的客户端事件和一些服务器端事件，就比如鼠标事件“onclick”，但不支持“onmouseover”。

我们将会在不久之后发布更详细的介绍，以及实际范例和相关 Virtual Earth 演示。

接下来我就介绍一下具体步骤，相信这对 Windows Server 2008 x64 用户会有一些帮助：

• 首先要做的就是禁用 UAC（禁用 UAC 的过程不详细介绍了），安装完成后可以启用 UAC。
• 从 Mesh.com 下载（不是运行）Live Mesh 最新客户端 0.9.3103.2，注意选择 Vista x64 版本，将LiveMesh.exe 保存于本地目录。

  

• 运行 cmd.exe ，并切换至 LiveMesh.exe 所在的文件夹（假设我将 LiveMesh.exe 存放在 C:\User\Picturepan2\ 下），并在 cmd 中执行 LiveMesh.exe /force，注意加上 /force。

    

• 安装过程和 Vista 上一样。安装完成后，就可以重新开启 UAC 了。
