澳大利亚 Tech Ed 演示的 Mesh Apps

Tech Ed 上个星期在澳大利亚圆满结束，我们的朋友 Long Zheng 取得了我们认为是第一次公开的 Live Mesh Apps。它是在 Live Desktop 上运行的 “Tracker” :

以及利用一些 Live Mesh 和 Internet Explorer 的特性伪装虚拟的运行于真实电脑客户端的 “Tracker” 程序窗口。

Long 提到，这个 Mesh 的演示应用“Tracker”—— 是一个简单的 To-Do List 程序，既可以在浏览器中 Mesh Desktop 上运行，也可以以一种真正的桌面应用程序的形式在 Windows 操作系统的电脑终端运行。要实现这个随时随地都可以运行的程序设计的设想，电脑终端运行的 Mesh apps 是在 Mesh 操作环境 (我们的个人电脑上运行的版本为 version 0.9.3104.1) 的基础上运行的基于 Internet Explorer 的无 IE 边框的浏览器窗口形式。

…the same demo Mesh application “Tracker” – a simple to-do list app can be run from both the Mesh desktop in the browser and on the actual Windows desktop as a (sort of) real application. To achieve this run-everywhere application experience, the Mesh apps on the desktop actually run inside a chromeless Internet Explorer wrapper provided by the Mesh Operating Environment (version 0.9.3104.1 for those of you playing at home). Ignore the bug with the Mesh panel on the desktop thinking it’s a folder.

用户可以在多种设备（包括：PC, Mac, Windows Mobile 等）中运行 Live Mesh 应用，并且程序数据将会通过 Mesh 框架自动进行同步。甚至是在脱机状态，也可以使用最后一次同步的数据来运行 Live Mesh 应用。

对于感兴趣的开发者和用户来说，可以关注微软 10 月底的 PDC 08，到时将会有不少 Live Mesh 相关应用开发的信息将公开。Live Mesh for Mac 及 Windows Mobile 客户端也可能将推出。
