正如之前 Windows Live Hotmail Wave 3 介绍的那样，风格也更新至了 Wave3 的新界面（与 Calendar 界面相同）。新版 Hotmail 合并了完全版和经典版，只提供了一个官方称性能提高不少的版本。

具体更新如下：

• 增强的地址簿功能
• 在线存储空间增加（具体规则待定，目前 M2 版是根据使用情况增加空间）
• 整合了 Windows Live Web Messenger（M2 版本中暂无此功能，将在未来数月内推出）
• 增强的反垃圾邮件技术
• 整合日历及 Outlook Connector

LiveSide: Hotmail to begin rollout of new, faster release

OneConnect 是由 Yahoo! Mobile 团队开发的 iPhone & iPod Touch App，主要功能是和 Yahoo! 联系人进行聊天，以及关注好友的更新（支持 Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, Youtube, Bebo, Dopplr, Friendster 和 Twitter）。

在 Settings 中可以导入以上服务的帐号中的联系人，并通过 Pulse 关注这些联系人的更新状况，也可以更新自己的状态信息（左图）；支持 Favorites 好友，类似 Windows Live Messenger 9 Wave3 Beta 中的 Favorites 功能（右图）：

微软推出 Virtual Earth, Live Search Maps，及 API 更新，在这篇中，我就来介绍一下最新的 Live Search Maps 的更新以及新功能。

Communities

提交的收藏 Collections 能够在第一时间被索引，并且，在商家搜索中整合了 Collections 的数据：

Local Search Vertical

搜索优化- 用户可以指定搜索筛选条件，如：Hotels, Restaurants 等。

相关搜索- 用户将能看到更多相关类别的结果，并在将来有更多相关搜索整合进来。

注：MSN Yellow Pages 和 Local Search Vertical 页面都有广告。

Details page

通过独立的页面显示了更全面的商家信息，以及 Scorecard（显示用户评价的面板），以及搜索：

Multi-Point Directions

多点驾驶导航，将会为用户创建一个多个地点的导航路线。当用户需要去多个地点的时候，该功能尤其实用，可以将所有地点的路线在地图中显示出来。

Landmark Hints

Landmark hints 将适用于北美的路线，并且支持以下类型的地标提示：

• Gas Stations
• Major National Chains of
• Hotels
• Restaurants
• Convenience Stores
• Grocery Stores
• Car Dealerships

Geocoding

地点搜索（城市，州，国家，地标等）功能已经被加强，查询匹配率也有所提高：

在 Virtual Earth 3D 中，可以看到实时天气状况（通过云来反应实际情况），每 3 个小时更新一次，并且更新时间会显示在右下角，支持 14 种云类型。

Virtual Earth Web Service, Virtual Earth Map Control 6.2

微软正式推出了新的 Virtual Earth Web Service SDK，以及新版 Virtual Earth Map Control 6.2。另外，Virtual Earth AJAX Control SDK 和 Virtual Earth Interactive SDK 也更新了。

New Mobile Support

用户可以开发 Virtual Earth 相关的移动应用，比如在 Windows Mobile, RIM BlackBerry，以及 Apple iPhone 平台上。Virtual Earth 图像针对移动平台做了一定的优化，并且支持更加灵活的功能开发。

微软已经在 PDC 官方博客中表示，将会在 PDC 08 向 Keynote 主题演讲出席者提供 Windows 7 的 Pre-Beta 版。看样子，Windows 7 Pre-Beta 的安装镜像很可能就存在于那个 160 GB 的硬盘中。

PDC08 会涉及 Windows 7 的很多方面，包括：内核，网络，硬件和设备，以及用户界面。当然也有 Windows 7 的新技术和 API 信息。

另外，Windows Live 套件也将取代 Windows7 自带的 Mail, Photo Gallery 和 Movie Maker。

Redmond Pie 发现了一款出自 Microsoft Live Labs 的 Gadget 项目: Color Picker，并可以在 Windows Live Gallery 下载该 Gadget。

该 Gadget 允许用户创建并保存自己的配色方案，还支持从  COLOURlovers 站点搜索配色方案。这是由 Live Labs 设计师 Jeff Weir 创建的，可以访问 Live Labs 官方博客了解更多。

Chris 今天在 Windows Vista 团队博客上给出了 Windows Ultimate Extras 最新更新的详细内容：

Microsoft ® Tinker (TM): 一个新的游戏，类似推箱子的益智游戏 。另外我还注意到游戏自带了录制视频片断的功能，可以记录精彩的通关过程 。

Ultimate Extras Sounds from Microsoft Tinker： 根据大家对于四月份的推出的 Windows Vista Ultimate Extras 更新的反馈，这次微软推出了 Microsoft Tinker 的声音包。

Windows ® DreamScene (TM) Content Pack #4：此次更新添加了3 款新的 DreamScene 。Paul 的截图：

另外，Microsoft Tinker 是由微软合作伙伴 Fuel Industries 开发的。
